Acupuncture
Acupuncture works by activating various “points” on the body. These specific points stimulate all systems of the body including the brain, nervous system, musculoskeletal system and internal organs to rebalance and harmonize the body and mind. It brings inflammation down, relieves pain and helps to bring the body and mind to homeostasis ( body’s ability to regulate its environment and maintain internal balance)
Cupping
Cupping is a non invasive therapy that uses glass or plastic cups with vacuum on your skin. It can be either static or sliding with the use of cream or oil. It is generally a pleasant procedure though red marks could be left on a skin for up to a week after the treatment. Cupping helps tremendously with stiff muscles , specifically on the back and legs and with respiratory disorders as well.
Electrical Stimulation
Electro acupuncture is a term used to refer to the application of a pulsating electrical current to acupuncture needles , to acu points on the body. The electrical impulse provides gentle vibration that stimulates the qi ( vital energy) running through these points. It is often very soothing to the patient, providing a soft humming and ,essentially fluid treatment. It facilitates muscle relaxation and releases endorphins ( hormone of happiness) into the blood, having a very relaxed effect on the patient. New studies showed that electro acupuncture creates new neuro-connections and increases stem cells production.
